Proposed Re-designed Mechanical System

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Building was designed with packaged rooftop units and VAV system for air distribution. The proposed system is intended to satisfy the building loads while achieving an improved utility consumption and providing LEED opportunities. 

Acoustical Breadth

The proposed mechanical depth for the Penn State Lehigh Valley building includes a full renovation of the existing mechanical system. Part of the proposed design includes the installation of split system heat pumps to accommodate individual classrooms. The acoustical breadth will analyze the affect of the split system heat pump relative to acoustical noise generated.

Construction Management Breadth

Final Thesis Proposal (Revised)

The primary system of the proposed mechanical depth includes the utilization of a geothermal well. The geothermal well includes a significant construction cost and duration. For my construction management breadth, I will be analyzing the construction design of the geothermal well, including the borehole length calculation and the soil analysis surrounding the building.
